The purpose of UMCOM is to support our local Human Needs Council by providing household items to individuals and families in need. We compile the items which are picked up by the social workers or agency directors who deliver the items to the families. Since UMCOM began in February of 2009 we have been able to respond to requests from parties.
Items such as dishes, silverware, cookware, linens, towels, small kitchen appliances, and some furniture have been donated by members of our congregation. We would like to invite you to help us in this endeavor. If you would like to donate any of these items that are clean and in good working condition (they need not be new) we will arrange for pick up, or you may deliver them to the Methodist Church. Call or email the church, see home page. Donor receipts are available also.
If you or someone you know needs any of these items, please call Linda Bear at Health and Welfare, 208 983-2300 or Linda.Bear@dhw.idaho.gov.
